Building a dream, running a business, and living a healthy lifestyle in Northern BC.

Jaclyn Gagnon grew up on Hidden Acres Treehouse Resort, but the property wasn’t what it is today. Her father originally bought the land because it had an airstrip; he was a pilot. Besides the runway and their home, however, the land only had one other small house and an old shed.

With the dream of raising their kids and living a healthy, natural farming lifestyle in Northwest British Columbia, Jaclyn and her husband Jon took over the property in 2008. Jaclyn's mother Judi stayed close, moving into a smaller home on the property to help with raising the children. They taught themselves how to farm and slowly but surely, doing everything themselves, made Hidden Acres Treehouse Resort into the beautiful oasis it is today.

In addition to the cabin rentals, the Gagnons sell fresh produce and animal products from the farm. They either sell at the farm gate by appointment  and most Saturdays, in the summer, they have a booth at the local Skeena Valley farmers’ market.

The family practices organic, sustainable farming and natural growing methods. They believe ‘farm to table’ food makes everyone and everything happier and healthier in the long run.

Jaclyn, Jon and their three kids – Dylan, Emily and Jonah – are true Northerners. They are authentic, down-to-earth and truly welcoming. They are also proud to share this unique area of the province and their Northern lifestyle with their guests.

Feel free to ask the Gagnons anything you’d like about Terrace and surrounding area, the outdoor activities it offers, the local music scene, the farm and their animals.
