About The Owners

Building a dream, raising a family, and living life to the fullest in Northern BC.

Jaclyn Gagnon grew up on this land, but the property wasn’t what it is today. Her father originally bought the land because it had an airstrip; he was a pilot. Besides the runway and their home, however, the land only had one other small house and a shop for the airplane.

With the dream of raising their kids and living a healthy, sustainable lifestyle in Northwest British Columbia, Jaclyn and her husband Jon took over the property in 2008. Jaclyn's mother Judi stayed close, moving into a smaller home on the property to help with raising the children. They taught themselves how to grow food and slowly but surely, made Hidden Acres Farm & Treehouse Resort into the beautiful oasis it is today.

While offering unique accommodations and venue rentals, the family continues to practice sustainable farming and natural growing methods, along with agri-tourism activities such as U-Pick pumpkin patch visits and a Tuesday night farmstand.

The farm stand is run by Cameron Bell of Farmer Cam's Foods who rents land from The Gagnons and has market gardens and greenhouses right at Hidden Acres Farm.

Jaclyn, Jon and their three kids – Dylan, Emily and Jonah – are true Northerners. They are authentic, down-to-earth and truly welcoming. They are also proud to share this unique area of the province and their Northern lifestyle with their guests.
